The Graphic Design Network

The Graphic Design Network at Ning has received it's 153 member today. The network was set up for the members of the Graphic Design & Web Design Forum to share their latest work, music & movies as part of a Graphic Design Social Network.


Many of the members have started their own breakoff groups such as CSS, Software, Music & Illustration and invited others to join their private groups to discuss web design & graphic design.

Behance Design Contest

CONTEST DESCRIPTION

To reward and highlight inspirational work by participants in the Behance Network, we will periodically be holding “BE-contests” across various creative fields.



The first 5 of these contests will be in the realms of GRAPHIC DESIGN, PHOTOGRAPHY, FASHION, FILM, and BLOGGING.

Three winning projects will be chosen in the Graphic Design realm based on number of votes received. Then a panel of expert judges will chose one grand prize winner in Graphic Design, to be awarded a $1,000 cash prize, a set of the Behance team's "Action" products and much Behance fame! 1st and 2nd runners up will receive a set of "Action" products and will be featured in Behance's online magazine.

Behance Network :: Creative Portfolios, Projects, and Collaborations




The Behance Network is a new platform for creative portfolios, jobs, and collaborations. The network was developed with the guidance of creative professionals across industries and the companies and agencies that hire creative talent.

The Behance Team has four main goals for this project:
(1) Help Creative Professionals stream the content in their portfolios into many different galleries, groups, and sites across the web.
(2) Help companies and recruiters find creative talent (i.e: designers, photographers, writers, etc...) in an efficient and inexpensive way (posted jobs are streamed throughout the network).
(3) Gather creative professionals across industries around specific projects/interests in the form of "circles" (can be private or public groups).
(4) Provide some element of "credibility" for creative professionals when networking (similar concept to LinkedIn - your network grows with each new link...).
