Logosauce - Logo Design Portfolio

As a follow up to the Design Forum Logos post back in March, I thought I'd keep you updated with the portfolio.

Logosauce has grown massively since I joined and they are running some competitions there which has a mixed response from alot of the design world. Some think the prices paid for design is a little too low for the quality of the work being done.

You can read some of the comments made over at the Graphic Design Forum.

I now have 194 logos in my portfolio and have gained a Total Rating of 6608 from 25046 views.

Latest LogoSauce Competitions

National Speed Competition

Company: National Speed

Brief: The logo should be clean and professional and have appeal to a wide range of customers: owners of muscle cars, hot rods, compact performance, street performance, performance trucks, race cars (road, drag, and oval track racing). The logo will need to work well on tee-shirts and caps, storefront signs, business cards, the company website and more.

It should not be overly complex, since that would be difficult and expensive to reproduce on large building signs.

The logo should also incorporate a “universal image” that can be used without the text/name (like the Nike Swoosh).

Prize: US$500

Conditions: National Speed will have full and exclusive ownership and rights to the logo

Closing date: 17 May 2007

Printbay Competition

Company: Printbay

Brief: Printbay is a online directory listing of printing businesses. It connects online consumers with their local printing businesses. The new website will offer business name search, postcode and map based searches and the ability to request a quote for popular printing items electronically.

You will need to factor in the following: a. The word “printbay” will need to R168 G0 B0 (ie red) b. It will need to feature ”.com.au” (which can be positioned anywhere).

Artwork must be supplied in both photoshop and eps formats. It will be used online, as well as in print publications.

Prize: US$150

Conditions: Printbay expect exclusive ownership and rights to the logo

Closing date: 13 May 2007

New logosauce competition

There's a new competition on logosauce....

Competition: KitzNthingZ Quilt & Patchwork Supplie
rs-Urgent
Opens:
02 May 2007
Closes:
15 May 2007

My sister in law (Angela) is starting a business supplying Quilt making and patchwork materials, kits etc to quiltmakers and patchwork queens.

Quilting is a popular and resurgent hobby for many. KitzNthingz is the name of the business and is based in the deep south of NZ near Invercargill.

Angela’s business is based on the family farm and will eventually have it’s own barn and cafe. It’s a bBrand new business – but she wants something quickly so this is a relatively short competition.

Angela’s offering $100 and of course fame as the logo designer. I’ll be building her a website shortly so the logo should work online as well as in print. The target market is predominantly women.

Have some fun with this – everyone love a quilt – especially made by your Grandma/Oma/Nan/Grand-Maman/Nonna/Abuela etc.

Here are Toon and James versions.....

Natural Process Logo Designs

We had a new fun comp to enter on the graphic and web design forum is was a logo for a company called natural process. I came up with three alternatives here...

Although I dived in to the logo designs very fast I think the first design is maybe my favourite. I'm not sure about the orange colour, I tried it in green but the orange seemed more earthy.
There's been quite a few entries to this logo competition and a few decent logos.

I'm going to upload them to my logosauce profile and see if they gain any points.
