interesting. i dont really see why you are so against it, though. im against being in a sheep-like mentality as anyone else, but there's a reason people flock to the so-called "Web 2.0 look". its dark, cozy, but with just the amount of shine to keep you happy. its "perfect" in a sense because it merges a lot of ideas together into one. and it looks damn good. so whats bad there? there's still plenty of wiggle room if you're creative.
good presentation, though. i liked it.
