Favorite Banksy Piece

Was searching through some old and new images and found this, one of my favorite Banksy pieces. Such a great use of shadow to create definition.
Going to search for some more when I get some time and post them.

New Wicker Man

What a shocker...

I couldn't believe Nick Cage could have anything to do with this film let alone produce it, it had to be a money spinner. There's no way in their right minds they believed they could in any way improve on what already is a cult classic.




The look on his face says it all, laugh your way through the film and it might not seem like such a waste of time.
The best spin they put on it was summer isle is actually inhabited by powerful women and the men aren't allowed to speak, infact in one seen one man is scene tied to a bed and beaten.

Where did this idea come from???

Sorry but go out and buy the Original DVD special edition with all the added extra's and enjoy what is one of the greatest films of all time. (And two of the best performances).

Anti-War T-Shirt Design

Great Quote and a T-Shirt Design to follow...

Verdana at large point sizes.

Something that just hit me is how bad the font Verdana looks when made large like a header...



I tried with a few 'regular' fonts and none seemed to look as bad, the usual Helvetica, Myriad etc. but for some reason, (might be personal preference) I can't stand verdana when it's large.

The Face Man!!!

Since discovering Dirk Benedict AKA. The Face Man was entering the big brother house I have been pretty excited as when I was growing up he really was the coolest guy in the world.


Every member of the A-Team were great in a way but the Face Man not only got to play with the guns and tanks and cars. He got to play with the girls as well. So imagine my delight when they anounce on Channel 4's Celebrity Big Brother that the face man will be joining them.
3 weeks in and I'm still wating for the cool???

On the new Battlestar Galactica's Starbuck) People kept asking me about Starbuck being a girl and I finally wrote what I thought for a British magazine called Dreamwatch. It was called Starbuck: Lost In Castration, and a lot of people got really angry -- 'this chauvinist pig, this angry bitter old actor, how dare he?' It was about why you can't have a character like Starbuck in a show today -- a cigar-smoking, drinking, womanizing lovable scoundrel. The feminist movement got rid of those guys. What happened to the man all he does is moan, he trys to be funny but he isn't.

Entered The Big Cookoff logo competition as I haven't designed a logo for a while and I was getting withdrawals. Has a look at a few on the site and felt some of them were a little obvious.

Upgrade for the Design Forum

New Graphic and Web Design Forum up and running with most of the members joining from Graphic Design & Web Design Forum also a few more joining along the way.
Waiting now for Google, MSN and Yahoo to index and we should be up and running.




Pretty stunned how much of an upgrade it is from the free boards at editboard to vBulletin
it's going to take a bit of getting used to. The Old Graphic Design Forum will remain for a while.

Even opened a Graphic Design Employment thread for people to advertise their job vacancies have to watch for spam though.
